The world of the Edwardian Ball can, at times, be beyond words to
describe. That's why we are eternally grateful to Mr. Mark Day for
putting together this incredible 6-minute collage of the 2011 Edwardian Ball at The Regency Ballroom - take a few minutes to see for yourself!

Rosin Coven's New Album for The Ball!
|
Rosin Coven, founders
of The Edwardian Ball in 1999, are the World's Premiere "Pagan Lounge
Ensemble"; nine musicians blend voices, cellos, violin, contrabass,
guitar, trombone, trumpet, vibraphone and drums to create their own
style of cinematic chamber cabaret. They present an irreverent
yet elegant balance between musicianship, poise, theatricality, and
humor.
A note from the band:
"We would hope that our
music brings people to the place they need to be at the time...a
soundtrack for your life. We have been told countless times over the
years that our music has transformed the listener and immersed people
in a creative, powerful space. We would like to be able to share this
collection with all of our fans now and in the future. Without your
help, this album, Sing Me Malaise, may not see the light of day, and we
need your help now to do it!"

Our sincerest thanks to the SF Weekly for their support of our 2012 San Francisco events!

The first night of back-to-back Regency Ballroom events, The Edwardian World's Faire
presents a Gorey-inspired night of music, theatrics, circus, fashion,
gaming, and Edwardian-tinged rock n' roll. A little more rambunctious
than the Saturday night Ball, The Faire presents an interactive night of
Barbary-themed Midway Games, bicycle-powered carnival rides by
Cyclecide, Steam-powered machinery by KSW, circus sideshows, burlesque,
and this year, a foray into "Chap Hop" with headliner Professor
Elemental direct from the UK! Also featuring longtime Edwardian disc jockey Delachaux, Sour Mash Hug Band, Flynn Creek Circus, Vau de Vire Society, DJ Fact.50, and our now-famous Vendor Bazaar & Piano Saloon featuring the John Brothers Piano Company.
This will also be the debut of our "Museum of Wonders" in the opulent
Regency Lodge, an entire additional floor of the Regency dedicated to
fine art, living statues, fortune telling, sideshows, and haunted

Welcome to the world-renowned
Edwardian Ball, a whimsical, elegant festival of art, music, dance, theatre, fashion, circus, and the art and stories of beloved author Edward Gorey.
Step into a uniquely immersive world, where the turn of the century
meets the world-to-be in a fantastic blend of performance and audience,
of sights, sounds, and magic. Each year, in the depths of the
night, Edwardian Ball founders Rosin Coven & co-hosts Vau de Vire Society
bring a featured Gorey story to life onstage with original music,
choreography, narration, circus acts, this year presenting one of his
darker masterpieces, "The Iron Tonic".
Friday's
rides and games are cleared away, making way for the Ballroom Dancing
that begins promptly at 8pm, followed by performances by Dark Garden Corsetry, "Belle of the Ball" Jill Tracy, The Fossettes, Jef Valentine, DJs Miz Margo and Delachaux, and more. Visit our famous Vendor Bazaar & Piano Saloon with the John Brothers Piano Company, create actual flipbooks in our Flipbook Portrait Studio, enjoy a parlour game, sip an absinthe cocktail, and dance the night away. And don't forget to visit our newest creation, the Museum of Wonders located in the opulent Regency Lodge, our "Edwardian Odditorium" full
of curiosities, natural wonders, sideshow performances, fortune telling,

Tea with Professor Elemental," wherein a very limited number of guests
may purchase tickets for proper afternoon tea with the King of Chap
Hop, inside our new Museum of Wonders in the opulent

selection will then be accommodated by a unique, a capella performance,
followed by a bit of whimsical chat and capricious banter.
