HELP AGENT RED GET WELL!

While performing at the recent Sea of Dreams New Years’ Eve event, aerial artist Sarah “Agent Red” Johnston sustained multiple injuries including two shattered wrists and a fractured skull. Rushed from the stage to SF General, Johnston underwent three surgeries totaling 12 hours to repair the damages sustained from a 12 foot fall at midnight in front of an audience of 5000. She was released after a 7 day hospital stay at San Francisco General on the evening of Friday, January 7.

A three-city fundraiser in SF, LA, and Austin is in the works as a collaboration between Anon Salon (SF), Sunset Promotions (SF), Art Seen Alliance (Austin), LegitArt (Austin), Ayers Designs (Austin), Lucent Dossier Experience (LA) and The DoLaB (LA).

We are working out dates in February, details which will be available soon on multiple websites including
at the Anon Salon site and on Facebook at the “Get Well Red” Group

Agent Red

Agent Red is well-known in the Burning Man community as a world traveled performer, aerialist and event producer. She was one of the founding members of the Lucent Dossier Experience and has performed alongside Cyndi Lauper, Flaming Lips, Devendra Banhart, Panic at the Disco, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Shpongle, Gogol Bordello, Bassnectar, Beats Antique, Helios Jive, Particle, Mutaytor, Cirque Berzerk, Vau De Vire Society and Firegroove. In addition to her performance career, she also works for Art Seen Alliance in Austin, TX where she produces Art Outside Festival, one of Texas' largest outdoor art festivals.

Even with her million dollar liability policy against hurting others, she has no medical insurance for herself. We are reaching out to the Burning Man and West Coast Arts community to pass along her story and to donate directly to her hospital recovery fund online at http://www.agentred.net/donate
