Over time Friday night of the Edwardian has grown to take on its own more independent and adventurous identity…This year will be extras exciting. For one night only, the WORLD'S FAIRE presents a myriad of creative wonders, including fine art, science and technology, history, and kinetic installations. This year’s theme is THE ROSE PEDAL GARDEN, in honor of Edward Gorey’s cranked-up classic, THE EPILEPTIC BICYCLE
Longtime Edwardian co-creators KINETIC STEAM WORKS and CYCLECIDE team up for the first time to create a JARDIN MECHANIQUE, where participants of all ages can pedal elegant contraptions, try their hand at midway games, and bring kinetic wonders to life amidst the setting of a reimagined European garden.
What’s more, the World’s Faire is honored to present DAKH DAUGHTERS
from UKRAINE - seven women present three vocalists and fifteen instruments in an incredible mix of music, languages, dialects, film, and performance. Spawned by Kyiv’s Dakh Contemporary Art Centre, these actresses turned dark-cabaret band are one of the most unusual, provocative and electric acts of our day - take a moment to watch this amazing video and come join the show!
